A total of 48 out of 73 aspiring gup candidates contested in the dhamngoi zomdu made it through in Mongar.

Mongar has the highest number of gewogs: 17.

Kengkhar, Drepong, and Sherimung gewogs have the highest number of gup contestants with four each. Balam, Chaskhar, Chali, Dramitse, Gongdue, Ngatshang, Thangrong, and Tsamang gewogs have three candidates each.

Jurmey, Monggar, Saling, and Tsakaling gewogs have two candidates each. Narang and Silambi gewogs have one candidate each.

Among them all, four female candidates, two in Ngatshang gewog and one each in Narang and Drepong gewog, were selected from the dhamngoi dzomdu.



Similarly, 54 out of 75 who contested for mangmi were selected in the dhamngoi zomdu. Ngatshang has the highest number of mangmi candidates, followed by Balam, Chaskhar Drepong, Sherimuhung, and Tsakaling gewog.

From the eight female contestants, only two were nominated for mangmi in the dzongkhag.

From among the incumbents, eight lost in the dhamngoi zomdu.

The dzongkhag has 186 nominees for tshogpa for 89 chiwogs.

For the thromde ngotshab, there were two candidates. The only female candidate was nominated after the other male candidate was disqualified due to political party affiliation.
