The newly appointed Permanent Represenative of Bhutan to the United Nations in New York, Ambassador Doma Tshering presented her credentials to the UN Secretary General António Guterres on September 13 at the UN Headquarters.

Ambassador Doma Tshering conveyed the greetings of His Majesty The King and discussed ways to further strengthen engagement and cooperation between Bhutan and the UN, a press release from the foreign ministry stated. Secretary General recalled his visit to Bhutan in 2017 and lauded Bhutan’s commitment to sustainable development and transition to democracy.

Ambassador Doma Tshering is the 11th Permanent Representative of Bhutan to the UN.
