Diplomacy: Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay met with UAE ambassador Dr Ahmed Abdulraman Albanna yesterday, according to a foreign affairs press release.

The ambassador conveyed the regards of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister of UAE to Lyonchoen Tshering Tobgay and said that not many people in the UAE know about Bhutan. Both Lyonchoen and the ambassador agreed that there is a need to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries.

Lyonchoen said that Bhutan can learn from the UAE in many areas. Lyonchoen and the ambassador also discussed the Sovereign Wealth Fund and Bhutanese working in UAE among others.

Lyonchoen and the ambassador agreed to work together in sectors where Bhutan and UAE are individually strong.
