Trade: A high-level trade delegation from Thailand will be in Bhutan to attend the first Joint Trade Committee (JTC) meeting between Bhutan and Thailand.

According to a press release from the trade department, the meeting will be held from August 24 to 25 in Thimphu.

The 13-member delegation will be led by Thai commerce minister Apiradi Tantrapon. The Bhutanese delegation will be led by economic affairs minister Lekey Dorji.

The main objective of the meeting is to initiate the implementation of the trade and economic cooperation agreement signed between the two countries in November 2013.

The high-level meeting will discuss the current trade and economic relations and identify ways and means to further enhance bilateral trade, investment and economic cooperation between the two countries.
