Thimphu City FC were crowned the champions of the BoB Bhutan Premier League at Punakha yesterday. 

Of the 14 matches played, City grabbed 37 points with 12 win and a draw. The club was awarded a cash prize of Nu 2 million (M). 

Skipper and the midfielder of Thimphu City, Tshering Dorji was recognised as the most valuable player and the highest goal scorer in the tournament. He bagged the Nu 50,000 and Nu 30,000 cash prizes for these categories.  

Ugyen Academy FC stood second with 34 points followed by Paro FC with 27 points. Ugyen Academy and Paro were awarded Nu 0.8M and Nu 0.4M respectively. Eight teams participated in the league.
