Police in Thimphu are in search of the parents of a boy, who was found lying near Chubachu area on the morning of July 25.

Thimphu city police’s officer-in-command, Major Wangdi, said that police on duty in Chubachu area reported about the boy. He advised them to keep the child with them for an hour expecting the parents to come looking for him.

“But since no one turned up, the child was brought to the city police station,” he said.

Major Wangdi said that police expected the parents to file a missing complaint or to come looking for the child. Since no one turned up, police had to notify the public through the Royal Bhutan Police’s Facebook page.

It was learnt that they child could only speak Sharchop and claims that he is Tshering and his mother’s name is Yeshi Zangmo. The child is with city police’s Women and Child Protection unit.
