DNT’s Dawa has won the bye-election in Chhoekhor-Tang constituency, Bumthang, with a huge majority, according to preliminary results.

Dawa secured total votes of 2,889 compared with the 1,707 votes DPT’s Tenzin Norbu received. On the EVM, Dawa secured 2,025 votes of the total 3,315 votes cast. Dawa also won more postal ballots with 864 of the 1,281 votes cast.
