With 75.79 percent, Phurpa Tshering, a B.A. Journalism and Mass Communication graduate from IMS Unison University, India topped the General Category of the Bhutan Civil Service Examination, 2017, the Royal Civil Service Commission declared today.

Jamyang Chophel, also a B.A. Journalism and Mass Communication graduate from IMS Unison University, India stood second with 74.46 percent while Dorji Wangchuk, a Bachelors of Economics graduate from University of New England, Australia took the third position with 73.93 percent.

In the Dzongkha category, Karma Loday topped with 68.35 percent while Dorji Drakpa stood second with 67.79 percent. Rinzin Wangmo came third with 65.31 percent. All three graduates graduated with B.A. in Language and Literature from the Institute of Language and Cultural Studies, Taktse.

In the Technical category, Sonam Dorji, B.Sc. Trauma, Emergency, & Disaster Management graduate from Jamia Hamdard University, India topped with 72.58 percent. Phub Tenzin, an MBBS graduate from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, India stood second with 72.41 percent and Tashi Chenzom, B.Sc. Trauma, Emergency, & Disaster Management from Jamia Hamdard University, India stood third with 72.39 percent.

A total of 957 graduates appeared the BCSE 2017 Main Examination.
