Samtse residents were left baffled as darkness engulfed them yesterday morning.

Residents said the darkness lasted for at least 30 minutes. It occurred at 9:40am and lasted beyond 10am. People switched on their lights at homes and offices, while vehicles had to turn on the headlights.
