In less than a week since the launch, three start-ups began to raise capital from the Bhutan crowdfunding platform developed by the Royal Securities Exchange of Bhutan.

The concept of crowdfunding is similar to the customary models of constructing a house in the villages, where the whole village comes to provide voluntary labour and the host treats them to a feast.
