A 48-year-old detainee of Samdrupjongkhar jail died of stroke at the hospital around 7:30am yesterday.

The deceased along with four other detainees were made to clean the jail surroundings around 6:30am. The police officials on duty heard the detainees shouting inside the jail and found him unconscious on bed.
