Dechen Dolkar

Druk Nyamrup Tshogpa (DNT) declared its candidates in constituencies in Samdrupjongkhar and Zhemgang to contest in the fourth National Assembly elections.

The party declared two-term Samdrupjongkhar thrompon, Karma Sherab Thobgyal, 53, as its candidate to represent Dewathang-Gomdar constituency in Samdrupjongkhar.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Delhi University. He has also completed military training at Indian Military Academy. He served in the Royal Bhutan Police for nine years.

Tshering Lhendrup will represent Panbang constituency from Zhemgang.

The 35-year-old holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Sherubtse College.

He has served as a contract teacher for one year. He was an entrepreneur for six years.

With this, the party has declared 15 candidates and the party claims they have confirmed 46 candidates so far to contest in the upcoming elections.
