With 12 points from six games and without a single defeat, defending champions, Druk Stars FC is leading the ongoing Bhutan Super League 2020.

Druk Stars FC won three and drew three. However, last season’s Pepsi League Champions, Tensung FC could overtake the league leaders with the Royal Bhutan Army team having two games in hand and only two points behind the leaders. Tensung FC had played four and won three.

Meanwhile, High Quality United FC (HQUFC) beat BFF Academy FC 2-0.

Yeshi Dorji’s goal in 25th minute gave HQUFC an early lead. Nine minutes later, his teammate Tshering Dendup, doubled the lead to seal the first half 2-0.

The second half saw parity in ball possession and there were no goals. HQUFC’s Yeshi Dorji was declared the man of the match.

It is the third match for BFF Academy. The team won one, drew and lost one. They sit in the fifth place with four points.

High Quality United FC played four matches as of yesterday. They won three matches and lost one. With nine points, HQUFC is in third place.

The two teams from Paro – Paro United FC, and Paro Rinpung FC, played five matches each. Paro United lost two and Paro Rinpung FC lost four matches.

College of Science and Technology (CST) FC played three matches as of yesterday without a single point.

Punakha Gomo FC, CST FC and Paro Rinpung FC are in the relegation zone. It is the first time the three clubs are participating in the Bhutan Super League.

A total of eight teams from Thimphu, Paro, Punakha and Phuentsholing are competing in the league that began on February 6. The League ends on April 4.
