Druk Thuendrel Tshogpa (DTT) introduced three candidates from Gasa, Pemagatshel, and Wangduephodrang in Thimphu yesterday.

The party declared Norbu, 46, as the candidate for Khar-Yurung constituency in Pemagatshel.

He has a master’s degree in Leadership and Management programme from Paro College of Education.

He was an educator for 19 years, working his way up as a teacher, officiating principal and vice principal across schools in the east and parts of the west. He was also a mentor for students falling victim to domestic violence and drug abuse.

Tashi Penjor Dorji, 31, will represent the party from Nyisho-Sephu constituency, Wangduephodrang. He studied Bachelor of Computer Science at Sherubtse College.

He is a winner of several awards in the film industry, including Best Actor in 2018 and 2019, and the Best Newcomer Award in 2017.

Thirty-year-old Leki Wangchuk from Pazhi is DTT’s Khatoed-Laya candidate from Gasa.

He studied Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications from the College of Science and Technology. He ventured into the construction business after graduation.

The party has completed its familiarisation tour in 17 dzongkhags and around 200 gewogs.  The party has been in the capital city for more than two weeks walking around and meeting people.
