1973 - 06 -17 HIS Majesty the King recently visited the famine-affected people in Tongsa to assess the situation and see that proper relief measures are taken. Standing crops suffered severe damage when drought and hailstorm struck the areas of Khen in Shemgang District and several areas of Tongsa. Over 6,000 people in Khen and some 2,000 in Tongsa have been affected.
