Connectivity: The Trongsa-Zhemgang highway is once more open to traffic. The block in the area was cleared and the stretch opened to traffic yesterday.

The Mangdechhu Hydroelectric Project Authority (MHPA), Departments of Roads and Bhutan Engineering pvt ltd re-filled in the portions of the road that a stream in the area washed away on October 12.

Finance minister Namgay Dorji who is currently on tour in Trongsa also visited the site and travelled through the area.

The minister also instructed officials to have the bridge for the Dzongkhalum area completed before the upcoming summer.
