Global icon Ed Sheeran has announced a highly anticipated stop on his Mathematical Tour (+–=÷x) 2025—his largest concert series yet—set to take place in Bhutan on January 24, 2025.
This marks the first time the English singer-songwriter, musician, record producer, and actor will perform in the country.
The concert will be held at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, which will host over 25,000 attendees. Tickets for the show will go on sale today, available exclusively online at www.tix.bt starting at 12:00 noon.
Bhutanese citizens must update their Bhutan app and use Bhutanese Citizenship Identity Cards to purchase tickets.
International visitors can buy tickets via email, but they will need to arrange visas (USD 40) and pay the country’s sustainable development fee (USD 100 per night). Indian nationals can purchase tickets for INR 1,200.
Ticket prices range from USD 10 (Nu 860) to USD 101 (Nu 8,600) depending on the seating zones. Each individual can purchase up to six tickets.
Ed Sheeran, 33, is renowned for his genre-blending music that blends folk, rock, pop, and hip-hop. With nearly 200 million records sold globally, he is an era-defining artist whose recent achievements include membership in Spotify’s Billions Club for an incredible 12 songs, including his hit “The A Team” in 2011, which recently surpassed one billion streams.
His Mathematical Tour began in 2022 and has already included over 134 performances worldwide.
The upcoming tour will feature music from his extensive discography, including tracks from his popular albums Plus, Multiply, Divide, Equals, and his most recent album, Subtract.
After his tour in Bhutan, ED Sheeran also plans to collaborate with a few Bhutanese artists.
The 2025 Mathematical Tour will span several countries, including India (Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Shillong, Delhi), Qatar (Doha), and Bahrain (Sakhir).
The concert in Bhutan is promoted by Gelephu Mindfulness City and AEG Presents, in collaboration with One Fiinix Live.
