Her Majesty the Queen Mother Tshering Pem Wangchuck, Her Royal Highness Princess Kesang Choden Wangchuck, Her Royal Highness Princess Chimi Yangzom Wangchuck and His Royal Highness Prince Ugyen Jigme Wangchuck graced the inauguration of the first Gross National Happiness (GNH) fair themed ‘celebrating happiness and wellbeing’ at the Centennial Park in Thimphu yesterday.

The three-day fair is held to celebrate the 61st birth anniversary of the Father of GNH, His Majesty The Fourth Druk Gyalpo Jigme Singye Wangchuck and the National Happiness Day.

The fair offers various sessions such as yoga and meditation, outdoor dance, storytelling, food, cloth and game stalls, and free health checkups as well. The fair will start from 9am to 6pm.

The fair ends on November 13. The event is organised by the GNH Centre.
