High Quality United FC (HQUFC) is leading the ongoing Bhutan Super League 2020 after six games.

Unlike Paro FC who dominated the Bhutan Premier League last season right from the beginning, this season’s super league is bringing in surprises every day.

HQUFC, Tensung FC, and Druk Stars FC are leading the league table. HQUFC has so far won five and lost one. Tensung won four games out of five.

Punakha Gomo FC yesterday beat Druk Stars FC 4 -0. Both the teams started well. However, in the 36th minute, Gomo’s Karma Tsheltrim broke the deadlock and took the lead.

Druk Stars stands on the league’s third place. Gomo, now 5th on the league table, is out of the relegation zone.

College of Science and Technology (CST) FC has so far played four matches but has not been able to earn a single point.

The two teams from Paro— Paro United FC and Paro Rinpung FC—played six and five matches respectively. Paro United lost two and Paro Rinpung FC lost four matches.

Druk Stars, HQUFC, Paro United FC and BFF Academy FC are the teams who participated in the 2019 Bhutan Super League. However, the performance of Paro United FC and BFF Academy FC as of yesterday was not promising.

BFF Academy played five game, and lost three.

BFF Academy, CST FC and Paro Rinpung FC are in the relegation zone.

A total of eight teams from Thimphu, Paro, Punakha and Phuentsholing are competing in the league that began on February 6.
