Trashiyangtse’s Khamdang-Ramjar MP Kuenga Loday was detained along with Khamdang mangmi Sangay Tempa and three people for allegedly constructing a road in a highly restricted and prohibited area illegally.

It was learnt that the road was constructed although the dzongkhag did not issue the permit. 

Office of the Attorney General charged them for the commission malicious mischief, breach of public order and tranquility, official misconduct, hindering prosecution and for violating Land Act, Environment Act and the Road Act
