What are your thoughts on the current state of politics in our country?
Robust and competitive, with more political parties entering the picture with every election. From two parties in 2008 to five in 2023.
Why did you choose to become a politician?
To discharge my obligations as a citizen of Bhutan, to serve Tsa Wa Sum, and to be the voice for the voiceless. Encourage other women to speak up and consider me an inspiration to enter the political field.

Of having born under unique king and leadership who inspires every Bhutanese to work hard.
What was special about your election campaign during the primary?
I secured less votes among all the parties, yet I am fortunate to made it to the general round because of the performance of the party. To represent women, youth and also being determined citizen I moved forward with my duty (GE) with much hope, determination and respect.
A road to Laya gewog centre is going to be a curse to the tourism industry. Your comment.
Every situation has a silver lining if you view things positively, and the road to Laya will benefit the nation as a whole.
Do you believe the promises made by your party surpass those of your opponent?
Yes, at large.
You are a new face to your voters and why should the people of your constituency vote for you?
Voters may make a big difference in elections, regardless of how experienced or inexperienced a candidate is, but for me, my only goal is to serve Tsawa Sum with all of my heart. Voters must accept my sincere intentions in order to support me.

Our country’s political landscape has evolved significantly over the past 15 years, embracing a constitutional monarchy and parliamentary democracy. This maturity in governance reflects a heightened awareness among our citizens. With three distinct ruling parties, the electorate now holds a clear understanding of political choices, indicating that our country is steadily progressing on the right track.
Why did you choose to become a politician?
My decision to delve into politics stems from a desire to inspire hope among older generations, assuring them that the youth, represented by individuals like myself, are committed to serving our nation dedicatedly. It’s about ensuring a seamless transition to a future generation, fostering a continuum of service and dedication.

I am immensely grateful to the Bhutanese people for entrusting the Peoples Democratic Party during the primary round. The unwavering support and faith shown by my constituency from day one of the campaign has been humbling. I look forward to continuing this momentum throughout our ongoing campaign.

Contrary to concerns, the road to Laya gewog centre will not curse but enhance the tourism industry. It’s an opportunity for tourists to engage in activities like the Snowman Trek and inject vitality into local businesses and farmhouses.

Our focus on the economy, exemplified by our Nu 15 billion economic stimulus plan—an initiative unparalleled in other parties’ manifestos. Additionally, the 60% discount on helicopter fares and interest-free loans for agricultural machinery, will benefit the highlanders. These unique commitments set us apart.
