Former Lawyer of Bhutan Law Chamber, Jamyang Loday, has declared his intention to stand as National Council (NC) candidate from Mongar.

From Takhambi village in Tsakaling​, ​​Jamyang ​Loday retired as Managing Advocate.

He graduated with Bachelor of Socio Legal Sciences Bachelor of Laws (BSL LLB) from Pune, India in 2012. He has ​a Postgraduate Diploma in National Law from Royal Institute of Management.

Jamyang Loday said that having interacted with the people and lawmakers, he is confident that he ​can make a difference as NC member.

“Every citizen has a duty to take forward the gift of democracy,” said Jamyang Loday.

He believes that as a lawyer with experience he​ ​can become a good lawmaker.

He is currently on familiarisation tour and has covered 10 gewogs.
