Beginning this week, the limit for sand was set to 50 truckloads a day. House owners and contractors were given an approval of one truckload each a week.

Customers availing sand have to queue for tokens. Lately, there has been a long queue of customers at the sand procurement section at the Natural Resources Development Corporation Limited (NRDCL) in Thimphu. Some claimed that they had arrived by 6am to avail the sand token.
