In Mongar, people until noon today had time to stock up food and essential items. Lockdown has now been declared.

Unlike the last lockdown where residents were allowed to go out for two hours, people can today move inside their respective zones from 9am to 3pm.

Farm work is allowed in the gewogs. Schools and institute in the self-contained zone too have movement inside the zone.

Identified grocery shops open from tomorrow. Restaurants can also open but there will be strict monitoring and restrictions in place.

Taskforce members said that procurement of livestock products and agriculture produce would be done by identified traders.

In Lhuentse, lockdown was implemented after 5pm yesterday. Zoning will be implemented from today.

Lhuentse dzongdag, Jambay Wangchuk, said the old zoning system and rules would be followed in the two zones: Phaling town and Autsho town.
