Phuentsholing police are on the look out for a 32-year-old man, who absconded across the border after allegedly stabbing a 33-year-old man in the Toorsa temporary settlement.
In the incident that occurred on the evening of January 15, the suspect stabbed the 33-year-old man multiple times in the abdomen, chest and face.
Sources said the incident occurred when the suspect came to meet his former wife. The victim is her new partner.
A source said the suspect has fled across the border immediately after the incident.
It was learnt that the suspect and the woman were officially divorced.
The victim was referred to the national referral hospital in Thimphu. He is in stable condition.
