On the morning of January 22, police received a complaint about a Maruti Alto car that went missing from a parking space at the national referral hospital in Thimphu.

On the same day, the police received another complaint from Changzamtok that some miscreants had broken the glasses of a Hyundai i20 and had stolen clothes and electronic devices from the car. Also, a Maruti 800 that met with an accident near Bank of Bhutan office in Babesa was left abandoned.

Police arrested a 26-year-old man, suspected to have involved in the theft of the alto car that went missing from the hospital’s parking area.

A police official said, upon investigation, the suspect who is from Bumthang, was found to have involved in all the three cases.

Investigation is underway.
