A 20-year-old man, who was referred to the regional referral hospital died on July 31 due to severe dengue complications. The deceased was a cardiac patient.

Eleven of the 29 samples of acute undifferentiated febrile illness or dengue fever that was sent from Trashiyangtse hospital to the Royal Centre for Disease Control (RCDC) in Thimphu tested positive for dengue virus antibody.
