Chencho Dema | Punakha

On March 20 in Punakha, an 11-year-old student took her own life. Her identical twin survived the joint-suicide attempt.

The surviving sister was rushed to a hospital. She is said to be in a stable condition.

They were discovered on school premises by the school caretaker.

According to sources, the twin had gone to school as usual, and nothing about their behaviour had been deemed odd.

It is said that the girls were well-disciplined and hardworking.

The body of the deceased has been handed over to the family.
