The 5th Pay Commission late night yesterday issued a clarification regarding a leaked document dated April 2022 related to the Clean Wage System.

The release stated: “It has come to our attention that certain information, which had been shared internally by the Ministry of Finance in April 2022 to the Ministry of Education on an extremely confidential basis, has been leaked out to the public.”

The 5th Pay Commission’s release signed by its Chairperson Ugen Chewang stated: “We take an extremely serious view of this matter and are undertaking a thorough investigation. Those found responsible for such leaks and breaches of confidential information will be taken to task.”

The Commission further said that media reports on the leaked document were incorrect.

Parliament will deliberate on the 5th Pay Commission report on November 14.
