Tarayana Foundation donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) sets worth AUD 1.4 million to the Ministry of Health on February 18.
The PPE sets include latex gloves, sterile swabs, digital thermometers, and gowns. The PPE was supported by First Sourcing and Logistics Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Minderoo Foundation based in Australia. Officials from the ministry said that there is enough PPE equipment in the country, and have placed orders for more.
Records with the health ministry show that about 1,600 aprons; 5,000 face shields; 110,000 non-sterile gloves; 100,000 sterile gloves; 700 goggles; and 25,000 surgical N95 respirators are used in a day combating the pandemic in the country.
