Bhutanese Judoka Kinley Tshering (left) and Tandin Wangchuk participated in the university-level Judo championship in Hokkaido prefecture in Japan along with hundreds of judokas from 10 universities on August 27. Both of them lost the games. 

Kinley got a bye in the first match but his next match was against Ryoma Ayamakawa from Sapporo University. During the game, Kinley stepped out of bounds three times. With three shidos (rules violation during a contest), he was out of the match. Tandin lost to Kawaguchi from Sapporo University in the -73kg category.    

Kinley Tshering and Tandin Wangchuk have been training and studying at the  Seisa Dohto University in Japan since 2019. They will graduate this year.
