Bhutan national men’s tennis team came sixth among nine countries in the Asia Oceania Davis Cup held in Bahrain from October 15-24. Bhutan was drawn in group A against Cambodia, Turkmenistan and Mongolia. Bhutan won against Mongolia. Tandin Wangchuk won in the single category 6-2 and 6-2. Tandin Wangchuk and Tenzin Singye won in the doubles category 2-6, 6-4, and 7-5.  

The Davis Cup is one of the oldest and most prestigious tournaments which is commonly known as the world cup of tennis.
