The Bhutanese Karate team won one gold, two silver and four bronze medals in the sixth BG Karate Championship held in Bangladesh from December 27 to 29. 

Jamsel Yeshey Wangyal, 16, won gold in the under (U)-67kg junior kumite category. Tshering Phuntsho and Passang Tobgay won silver medals in U-60kg and U-75 kg, respectively, in individual senior kumite category. 

Meanwhile, Kinzang Choda won two bronze medals in senior individual kumite and individual kata categories. Passang Wangchuk and Rinchen Jamtsho also won bronze in U-55kg and  U-84kg, respectively in an individual senior Kumite category.  

More than 250 participants from five countries participated in the competition.
