Team Badams from Canberra won the second Druk Hybrid Archery Championship in Australia last week. Tsangla Nga also from Canberra was first runners-up and Phojas from Armidale, NSW came third.
Twenty-four teams with 150 archers, who are mostly Bhutanese, gathered in Canberra from various states in Australia to participate in the week-long tournament. The event was organised to preserve and promote Bhutan’s unique sports tradition and culture. Bhutan’s Ambassador in Australia, Sonam Tobgay and Australian parliamentarians attended the event this year.
