Dr Tobgyel School won the first National Invitational School Under-18 Team Chess Championship in Thimphu on June 4.  Royal Academy and Motithang HSS were first and second runners-up, respectively. The tournament organised by the  Bhutan Chess Federation saw forty players from eight teams.  Top players from this tournament are expected to represent the country in the maiden World School Team Championship organised by the International Chess Federation (FIDE) in August in Kazakhstan among 49 other countries.
