Showcasing the designs created with traditional fabrics and textiles incorporating contemporary design, a three-day exhibition is being held at the Nehru-Wangchuck Cultural Centre in Thimphu. The exhibition is led by Dorothy Gurung, a recognised designer in the country. The designs are created by a group of young women known as Mawongpa II, who are being trained by Dorothy Gurung. Along with the group, the designs are also by 20 regular and part-time students who are learning to tailor and design with the National Institute of Zorig Chusum. The exhibition ends today.
