A three-member delegation led by health minister Tandin Wangchuk attended the sixth SAARC health ministers meeting in Colombo, Sri Lanka from July 27 to 29.  Besides discussing issues related to public health in the region, the member states adopted the Colombo Declaration that broadly consists of 10 key messages on various health issues like nutrition, sanitation, non-communicable diseases, research and development, and preparedness for emerging and re-emerging diseases.
