Navaratri, the annual Durga Puja, began at the makeshift Durga mandir in t, Thimphu yesterday. Department of Culture’s Director General, Karma he PWD colony Weezir, attended the opening of the nine-day puja. Members of the Hindu community will visit the mandir to offer prayers to Durga, the goddess of power and celebrate Dassain on September 30.
