To deepen their understanding of the situation of children and women in Bhutan and to see first-hand, UNICEF’s work with partners in delivering results for children, a six-member delegation of UNICEF’s Executive Board Bureau are on their first field visit to Bhutan this week. During their visit from April 17 to 23, the delegation will visit schools, basic health units, hospitals, monastic schools and youth centre in Wangdue, Punakha and Paro. The delegation met the Prime Minister yesterday. The Executive Board President and four Vice Presidents, who are all Permanent Representatives to the United Nations, constitute the Executive Board Bureau.
