The Resident Coordinator of UN in Bhutan, Gerald Daly met with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence against Children (VAC), Marta Santos Pais on May 8 at the UN House in Thimphu. During their meeting, they discussed issues related to violence against children and the way forward for host governments and the UN to address these issues. Marta Santos Pais is currently in Bhutan to attend the eighth cross-regional high-level round table on the prevention and elimination of violence against children.
