Royal Safety and Transport Autority (RSTA) officials from Phuentsholing and Chukha, and Tshimasham traffic police conducted an awareness program along the Phuentsholing-Thimphu highway between Tshimasham and Damchu, as part of the UN Global Road Safety Week from May 14- 18. Motorists were cautioned on over-speeding, drink driving, using handheld devices while driving, following the traffic rules and respecting other road users. The road users were also asked to refrain from feeding monkeys and other wild animals along the highways.
