The national basketball team recorded its first FIBA Asia Cup 2021 SABA pre-qualifier win when it defeated Nepal 68-65 yesterday in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The win over Nepal would keep the team’s qualifier hope alive after losing to the host, Bangladesh, 49-61 on June 26. Nepal suffered two consecutive losses to the Maldives on opening day, and to Bhutan today.

Bhutan takes on the Maldives today.
