The Bhutan palliative team is currently attending a two-week intensive care programme in Thailand, where the team is learning about caring for end of the life patients and terminally ill patients. On their return,  the team is expected to create the country’s first sustainable palliative care network in Bhutan.  The  Bhutan team was sponsored by HRH Ashi Kesang Wangmo Wangchuck, HRH Ashi Pem Pem Wangchuck, Khunying Chomnongsri and the Cheevamitr Social Enterprise.
