The Chief Executive Officer of Green Bhutan Corporation Limited (GBCL), Damber Singh Rai, was named as one of the “51 Most Impactful Green Leaders” at the eighth edition of the World CSR Congress held at Taj Lands End, Mumbai, India on February 18.

Global Green Future Summit and Leadership Awards endorsed the award. The award recipients were chosen from a pool of global green leaders. Damber Singh Rai began his career as a Forest Range Officer in 1987 and also served as the national focal point of Bhutan for Man and Biosphere Program-UNESCO. In December 2016, he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer  of GBCL, a state owned enterprise, with the core mandate of landscape afforestation programme covering degraded watersheds, spring-sheds, degraded wildlife habitats, landscape development, greening and beautification.
