More than 150 youth from across the country participated in the national youth seminar, “Youth Cooperation for young, by the young” at the NRDCL hall yesterday.
The event was organised by youth committee member, Sangay Rinchen together with 12 local groups, as a part of the International Co-operative Alliance Asia and Pacific (ICA-AP) to promote youth involvement in the mainstream cooperative movement. The objective was to advocate on scopes for youth co-operatives in Bhutan, recognise and identify potential youth co-operators and create awareness on financial literacy. The event was supported by ICA-AP office in Delhi and the Department of Agricultural Marketing and Cooperatives, MoAF.
