Eastern United claimed their third consecutive victory in the Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Archery Tournament when they defeated Druk Green Power Corporation (DGPC) in the third and final set of the game at the Changlimithang archery range yesterday.
DGPC won the first set 25-3 but the defending champions Eastern United came back stronger to take the second and the third set 25-10 and 25-13 respectively.
Rinzin from Eastern United was declared the man of the match with six karey in the finals. Bhutan Power Corporations’ Ugyen was the best archer of the tournament with 19 karey in 67 rounds.
A total of eight teams took part in the month-long tournament organised by Bhutan Indigenous Games and Sports Association.
