The remote Resa village in Saling, Mongar was connected to the grid on May 15 to provide electricity to 52 households under the rural electrification project. HRH Gyaltshab Jigme Dorji Wangchuck joined the people for the event and also visited Pema Samden Choling Lhakhang. Resa village is a nine km drive and an additional three-hour walk from Gyalpozhing. Once Mangling village in Broksar chiwog and Zangitsawa in Tshen Zibe chiwog get on the grid, all homes in Saling gewog would be electrified.
