To help build Bhutanese film industry capacity, members of the film industry are attending a 10-day online training on cinematography techniques and film editing conducted by Korean International Cooperation Agency.

The participants will learn cinematography techniques such as light and colour, lighting theory, colour temperature, the composition of a picture, exposure among others. They will also be trained on using Adobe Premiere Pro CC, computer-generated imagery (CGI) works, and editing and sound recording.

Speaking at the opening, Information and Communications’ secretary, Phuntsho Tobgay, said: “Film plays a huge role in the creative industry in Bhutan therefore, capacity development in cinematography and film editing will no doubt enhance the quality of Bhutanese films and help Bhutan promote its culture through the medium of film.”

The training is facilitated by the National Film Commission Secretariat.
