To celebrate world water week, Bhutan Ecological Society in collaboration with WWF Bhutan, Bhutan for Life and Royal Society for the Protection of Nature hosted a seminar to share water-related initiatives and issues on the ground.

The theme for the water week is “Valuing water-Let it flow”. An associate professor from College of Natural Resources, Jambay spoke about the importance of ensuring a proper recharge area–the place where the water seeps into the ground and refill an aquifer–for continuous water accessibility. DeSuung water project coordinator, Tashi Dendup, presented how the water project has helped people in the country and that the project was a way to give back to the community.
