Inflation in the last quarter of 2018, from the producers’ perspective has increased by 3.5 percent compared to the last quarter of 2017, according to the producer price index (PPI).

PPI or the ex-factory price is the price at which producers sell goods to wholesale dealers unlike the CPI, which is the retail price and measures price change from purchasers ‘ perspective.
